Do you have any old School...

Memorabilia, Photos,  Magazines,  Pamphlets,  Exam Papers,  Posters, Newspaper-clippings, cartoons, Documents, or ANYTHING linked to Friars School? 

If so, then we would really appreciate the opportunity to at least photographing or copying these in order to include them into our Digital Archive.  Otherwise, depending on the item, we may be able to physically archive the originals for you, or advise you on how best to do that. 

So, no matter what you've got, Please dont bin it!

Whether you're a member or not, there's lots for you to see on our website! 

The majority of our archives are available in our member's pages.  If you're not a Member - then why not Join Us?  We're a friendly bunch!  All Ex-Pupils of Friars School are eligible!  Alternatively, those of you with a link of any kind with the school, may be eligible to join us as a 'Friend' 

We meet regularly for outings, walks and for social gatherings, check out our News and Events page for details - although more details are posted in the Members only pages... Contact Us if you'd like to participate and you're not a member.

If you have any Friars school material you'd like to donate or lend, we're particularly interested in copying anything suitable for inclusion in our digital archive.  We'll happily copy any photograph or school document you may have, for inclusion in our online collection and we'll quickly return the originals to you safely, and as soon as possible. 

So, whether you have anything to lend or donate, or just wish to renew old connections; Perhaps you just want to share anecdotes or information, then, we'd love to hear from you.  You can do that by either dropping us a private message on the Contact Us page, or alternatively,  you could leave a 'calling card' on our public 'Guest Book', below... just remember to include your email address where requested to on the form, so that we can reply privately.

Dathliad ‘460’ Celebration

*Dathliad ‘460’ Celebration*

Just to remind you that Friars School 460th year celebration Service is on Saturday, 8th April 2017 meet 11:50 am for 12noon at Bangor Cathedral.  

All Welcome!

ALSO:

  • On 7/4/2017 We will have a ‘Rucksack-Club’ Walk from 10:30hrs - meet at Ogwen Cottage, From Llyn Ogwen up to and around Llyn Idwal and Back (All welcome).
  • On 8/4/2017 After the Cathedral Service, we will hold our Annual General Meeting at Storiel, Bangor, from 2.30pm (All welcome).
  • An exhibition to celebrate the founding of Friars School will be at at the ’Storiel’ Museum, Bangor between the 18th March and the 29th April 2017. The FREE exhibition will include photographs, documents and various school memorabilia:

Arddangosfa ‘STORIEL’ Exhibition

Just to remind you all that the FREE Exhibition celebrating 460 years of Friars School commences today (18/3/17) at ‘Storiel’, Bangor.  

ODA members have been instrumental in arranging this exhibition and items from our archives will be on display until  April 29th 2017.  

Our sincere and grateful thanks go out to all the wonderful staff at Storiel who have been incredibly helpful and are key in helping us make this happen!
