The Cledwyn Jones Award 2019 -20

Given the pandemic, this years’ presentation was a virtual one.

Nevertheless, we want to thank Mr Foden and his staff for all the hard work that made the event possible and for doing their best to maintain the standards of education at Friars that we all benefitted from in the dim and distant past.

Rucksack Walks and Breakfasts

Dear members,

You will not be surprised to know that our ODA friends have been hoping  the day would soon arrive when we could meet up and indulge our acquired habits of eating and walking together in mutual adoration.

Ken Banes is keen to restart the walks and I am equally salivating at the thought offer cafe events. It seems, however, that the covid regulations prohibit us from meetings of this kind until next month when, hopefully, we can fall into the welcoming arms of the local  cafes and-go happily exploring our local paths and byways.

For the time being, may I wish you all the very best of health until we can meet again.
